ALL OF OUR PIECES BEGIN AS VINTAGE FURNITURE. Part of the beauty of owning vintage furniture is embracing the past life of the piece and some patina and/or evidence of age is to be expected. Although refinishing addresses serious areas of wear, these pieces are upwards of 50-60 years old and may still have some small signs of age. Functional parts of the piece (drawers, doors, etc.) are all in working condition. Rare Vintage is not liable for additional wear that may occur after delivery and/or during use in your home.

Because of the nature and cost of transporting vintage furniture, Rare Vintage does not accept returns. I am happy to send you any finish samples and/or extra photos you require to ensure your satisfaction with the finished piece, as ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

PLEASE BE SURE THAT VINTAGE AND/OR PAINTED FURNITURE IS RIGHT FOR YOU BEFORE YOU COMMIT.  

Shipping Policies

Shippers/shipping companies are third-party entities, not employees or associates of Rare Vintage. In many cases, these companies consist of individual drivers, traveling long distances and handling multiple pick ups and deliveries throughout the day (meaning - some patience with the timeframe of your delivery will likely be required). Although I do my best to work ONLY with qualified professional shippers, RARE VINTAGE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DELAYS OR DAMAGES THAT OCCUR IN-TRANSIT. Shipping insurance is generally available for an additional charge at the discretion of the buyer, and is the buyer's responsibility. Adding shipping insurance is highly recommended. Depending on where you live in the United States you can expect a minimum of one to two weeks, and up to six weeks, for your delivery to arrive to your home. Shipping timelines and delivery ETA are worked out with the individual shipper/shipping company, and while I am happy to help coordinate, I am unable to provide delivery windows. Once a piece has been picked up from me, further communication and scheduling of delivery is between the shipper and the purchaser.

Local delivery rates start at $125 and increase based on distance and whether delivery providers will need to go up any flights of stairs.

Shipping to other areas of the Midwest, including Missouri, Ohio, Michigan and Indiana, are typically between $250-$350.

Shipping rates to areas of the Northeast and mid-Atlantic, including New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Washington D.C., are typically between $300-$500.

Shipping rates to the Southeast and Texas are typically between $350-$450.

Shipping rates to the West Coast, including California, Oregon and Washington State typically start at $425 and range up to $600.

[In most cases, the quoted shipping rate only includes delivery to the first floor by a single driver who may require assistance. Please let me know up front if you require your piece to be moved up any flights of stairs.]
